Could there be an upset on the cards in the UK Open today?

The UK Open lack of seedings means that the top players are not protected this year to the later rounds. With that in mind it's food for thought whether to take on all the faves today. This is what the liability looks like if you do - Liability will be around £81 if you lay Trump, Williams, Allen, Hawkins, Bingham, Holt, Dott and Carter. I think that that's probably worth the risk given that anything can happen early doors.

Coventry City's Callum Wilson says the word 'obviously' a staggering TEN TIMES in a post match interview.

You can never charge footballers with being dull, repetitive, tedious drones can you? Step up Coventry City's Callum Wilson, who obviously has a love for a certain word.

Froch v Groves - My take on a brutal night of boxing

Controversial stuff as the ref intervenes incorrectly So as the dust settles (and with two in play Froch bets won...barely) I just thought I'd give my thoughts on last night. Firstly, hats off to George Groves who was probably the only one deep down that thought he had a chance in this super bout. Froch went off last night at 1.22, but Groves made a complete mockery of those odds inside the first round. Froch was floored, and floored comprehensively. The Froch drift was well under way by the 2nd and 3rd rounds, which is where I took my two positions at 2.20 and 2.20. But the bout will be recorded in history as one of high controversy. Groves, who almost to a man was said to be 4/5 rounds up on Carl, was piling on the pressure through the early rounds but couldn't quite finish the job. Froch took some heavy, heavy shots. I mean the guy is made of steel. There were at least two or three right handers from Groves that would have KO'd lesser mortals. Then came the mom

Stretch out and wait. Analyse when you're over-betting

If you think you're over-betting, then you probably are! So this blog has pocketed almost £2,000 profit since it started its bet suggestions in August and that my friends, is a pretty good return. But you should always examine where you are going wrong in this betting game, because even when you're going right, you can be doing things wrong! Like anything that is addictive and sets the pulse racing, sports betting is no different in that emotions must be kept in check. Careful analysis of risk must be given attention and that element of moderation is very important. In my experience, over-betting is a common problem amongst gamblers, from both novices and experts alike. Does this scenario sound familiar? You've had a good run, you've found value in a number of bets, played the patience game, and think you've cracked it. It's at this point that you are at your most vulnerable. On the back of this you may increase stakes, bet on more matches/events and a
