Benoit Paire v Marcel Granollers (Bet 14)
LOSS
ATP Rome, 11am.
£20, Over 2.5 sets, 2.37 (Bet365)
Benoit Paire is the firm favourite here after beating Juan Monaco and Del Potro along the way. But I've always had the impression that Paire is flakey, and can easily have an off day against those he should beat. Granollers is 2.62 for the match which I think is a very enticing price. But I'm going to play it a little safer and say that this match will go into a third set.
ANALYSIS
Granollers was a disgrace to be frank. 6-1, 6-0. Shit list.

Dimitrov wins EPIC match v Djokovic!
What an awesome match! Played over THREE HOURS, these two titans battled it out with injury problem after injury problem. Dimitrov looked to have the upper hand going into the tail end of the second set with Djokovic showing signs of fatigue. But it was the Bulgarian who then showed signs of injury before Djokovic turned on the style to win the second set 10-8 on a tie break. At this point the odds were well in the favour of the Serbian.
I took the odds at over evens, just before Dimitrov had a match point in the second, which Djokovic went on to save then complete a match point of his own. But it was Dimitrov who came out of the traps the strongest in the decider taking it 6-3. An incredible match.

Robredo v Berdych
Fantastic win for Robredo, rolling back the years. His competitive streak is huge. Berdych's game looked flawless in the first set, but towards the end of the second Berdych started with a lot of unforced errors and failed first serves. Robredo had the bit between his teeth and never gave up throuhg the third. He played some outstanding tennis as Berdych started to look defeated with some bad body language. This one will be hard to take for Berdych, but brilliant from Robredo.

Berdych v Davydenko
ATP Barcelona

Berdych came through this game, but only just. Davydenko had a match point in the second set before Berdych saw it out 7-5. Davydenko is no doubt the better technician, but age is catching up on him and as the match wore on he began to falter. This is not his fault. Berdych is a puzzle. In all honesty his ranking of number 3 for the tournament is way too high. His first serve is erratic and he relies way too much on it. Also his unforced error count is too high for a high rank player.
I backed him in play to win and he did just that. But look out for his next round opponent as anyone that can return reasonably and keep him busy in baseline rallies is likely to beat him.
