Estudiantes throw it in typical South American unprofessionalism style. Radwanska's and Dimitrov dumped. Monaco Kitzbuhel favourite.

South Americans....total fruitcakes
You can bet your bottom dollar (as I did for the last time) that South American teams and players will do something stupid, outrageous, crazy and downright unprofessional. I'm thinking Luis Suarez when I type these words. What is it with South Americans that they are so brainless that they cannot keep their emotions in check and put personal vendettas and squabbles aside for the greater good? What is it in their fiery DNA that sees them gouge, punch, kick, bite and generally mess things up for the team?

Last night it was the turn of Estudiantes and in particular Jonathan Cristian Silva. Arsenal went a man down inside 17 minutes which would have triggered a flurry of Estudiantes bets. Even better, Zapata scored for the away side and they were completely dominating the game. The only question was at this stage, is how much would Estudiantes win by?

Take centre stage Silva. Take a Royal Bow. He stupidly gets involved where he shouldn't have and picks up his second yellow card with absolutely no pressure on the match or his team. This one moment of absolute stupidity then put his team under pressure for the whole of the second half as they picked up 3 more yellow cards, before punters were once again treated to the joys of the profiting bookie, with a 91st penalty equaliser from Arsenal in which Jara was sent off. Another bad beat for the punter who would have put a few quid on Estudiantes with all things in their favour after the sending off and then a Zapata goal.

South Americans are generally animals, and I think that football is just an excuse for many to get up to all sorts of naughty boy antics. In this instance, Silva cost his team a vital three points, and he should have absolutely no issue if the club fine him a month's wages for his ludicrous actions. It is a pitfall of betting on anything that is South American I'm afraid, that you just don't know the mental side to some of these headers.

Meanwhile, the Radwanska sisters were dumped out of Washington. A lost to Stosur and U lost to Azarenka on a miserable day for the pair. And Dimitrov is proving once more that he is just so inconsistent. Haas has been solid of late, but you really have to think that if Dimitrov wants to progress that step further in his career, then he really need to be taking out the likes of an ageing (albeit rejuvenated) Haas.

It's also the final of Kitzbuhel today as Granollers takes on Monaco. Monaco is 1.50 favourite to take the title compared to Granollers 2.62 at the time of writing.
