Good win for Grigor
So there we have it, another WTA win for the Romanian Simona Halep who beat Stosur in the final in Moscow in straight sets. It was easy in the end but the first set was hard, hard work. Stosur played some great tennis this week and deserved her shot in the final, but once again Simona is proving that she is top 10, even top 5 material in my eyes.

Again, from a betting perspective she has been gold dust. Bookies continue to give lush odds which cannot be backed away from. Even punters are seemingly incapable of trusting the most trustworthy player in both tours. Never mind, keep opposing I say.

Grigor Dimitrov won his event against Ferrer in Stockholm 2-6 6-3 6-4. It was an excellent effort from Dimitrov but I must say I'm still not convinced. He is very heavily backed on the tour and is constantly touted as a top five player. Again, not sure; this week he beat Ferrer in the final who in my opinion looks like he's slightly on the wane but apart from that the draw was pretty hopeless. Anyway well done to Grigor.

Tweeters were laughing at the Man United price against Southampton only for them to have egg on their faces and shows that once again, betting with the masses if you are that way inclined is fraught with danger. I didn't touch it, but personally if pushed a lay of United would have been my shout. Australia chased down a huge 300 score to beat India as Ishant Sharma crumbled in the final overs.

This week in the tennis we have the Basel/Valencia event and the Tour Finals in the WTA. Should be good.

Juventus lost 4-2 after winning 2-0 and Liverpool couldn't beat 10 man Toon in a couple of surprise results, and Torino-Inter finished 3-3 in a brilliantly exciting match last night with Inter playing with 10 men for almost the entire match.
