On form, I guess you could say that Club Brugge have the edge. They are 1.79 to win the match tonight, with the draw coming in at 3.95 and a whopping 5.1 for Waregem. Waregem have lost their last game to the in form Standard and drawn the other two games to Genk away and rather disappointingly to Lokeren, the groups whipping boys, at home. Momentum is definitely with Club Brugge winning 4-1 at Lokeren and then drawing to Anderlecht 1-1 last time out.
Even the head-to-heads don't stack up to much!
Generally, things have gone the way of Club Brugge in the recent past too. So why am I betting for the draw or better for Waregem tonight when it's obvious that Club Blugge probably have the stronger claim to winning the game? The answer lies here -
They have lost just once away from home all season in the regular league, a 2-0 loss to Racing Genk on the 26th August 2012. They are just seemingly formidable away and can quite comfortably stave off almost anything that the home side throws at them. Tonight will be a massive test for the theory of very recent form v consistent history!
You can get Waregem at 2.2 currently on the exchanges for a +0.5 handicap. I personally can't wait to see how this one finishes tonight!
